How Procrastination Affects Financial Health & What to Do About It
We’ve all tried willpower and accountability to overcome procrastination, but these interventions rarely work. A little-known fact about procrastination is that it is the symptom of a larger problem, not the problem itself. Once we understand the underlying and cyclical process that generates procrastination, we can begin to undermine it – and we can do this without shame, judgment, or forcing ourselves to do anything. Procrastination is NOT a personality defect!
Employees will come away with a greater understanding of the underlying causes of procrastination and two tools they can use immediately to begin to undermine procrastination and its ripples in their financial lives.

Establishing a Budget You Can Keep
The perfect budget helps us do three things: be more aware of spending, plan for the future, and prevent and recover from emergencies. The perfect budget doesn’t require you to read a book, buy a kit, or spend hours each month on a spreadsheet. You already have everything you need to begin creating your perfect budget!
Employees will come away with a game to begin the process of creating their own money system (budget), along with a low-stress perspective on budgeting. It is not necessary for employees to have financial information on hand for this class.

Accountability and Your Finances
If telling ourselves “I really need to stick to my budget”, or “I should start saving” were enough, we would all be perfectly productive, responsible, and accountable to ourselves and those around us. So, what are we missing about accountability in our financial lives? It turns out it’s not about consequences, rewards, willpower, shame, or obligation. Becoming more accountable is about making microscopically small changes to our mindsets and perspectives.
Employees will come away with an understanding of how accountability is deeply engrained in us and why we rebel against it without knowing. They’ll also receive two tools they can use immediately to circumvent thoughts like “I have to…” and “I don’t want to, but I need to” and still get things done!

Making Better Financial Decisions Under Pressure
“I work best under pressure” is something we’ve all heard or said. But do we?
Contrary to popular belief, we do NOT make better choices under pressure, we just make FASTER choices.
Making choices under pressure may not be optional, but we can learn and practice making wiser choices under pressure. What would your financial life look like if the next time a financial choice (even just which peanut butter to get) was presented to you you felt confident and clear in your options and decisions?
In this class we’ll be talking about a quick tool you can use every day to make better and better financial choices without feeling obligated or shamed.

How to Have Healthy Financial
Conversations with your Spouse
Oooo boy, the money talk. Maybe you’ve tried many, many times to “just push through it” and have the talk with your partner, only to have it devolve into avoidance, hurt, and starting back at square one over and over.
There is an unspoken lie that makes talking about money with our partners so much harder than it needs to be. This overly simplistic mindset sets an unrealistic expectation without providing any skills or strategies.
In this class we’ll be picking apart that common piece of “wisdom” that is setting most couple’s financial conversations up for failure, and actionable ways you can immediately make money talks with your partner more efficient, more connected, and maybe actually fun!
